Add/Change the following lines (or equivalent) into /etc/fstab:
#/dev/sda4        /mnt/zip100.0  vfat    noauto,user,conv=binary,uid=505,gid=505,umask=007 0 0
/dev/sda1        /mnt/usbbar    vfat    noauto,user,conv=binary,uid=505,gid=505,umask=007 0 0
/dev/sdb4        /mnt/zip100.0  vfat    noauto,user,conv=binary,uid=505,gid=505,umask=007 0 0
(NB: The flash disk is usually, but not always, detected before the zip drive)

Create a KDE desktop icon/link with the following options:

Change /etc/modules.conf and /etc/rc.d/rc.local to read something like that below:
(/etc/modules.conf also includes additions for CDR/RW usage)
/etc/modules.conf & rc.local
